Our opinion is you should take the H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available. However, it is best to consult directly to your physician because if the vaccine increases plateles count, it should be avoided at all cost for people with ET (Essential Thrombocythemia).
Viruses mutate often into other strains, therefore the best prevention is to take precaution and wear protective breathing mask for protection when in public places.
