Hi Anshu,

Your brother is currently infected with Hepatitis B in contagious state. It is in active state with recent incubation period of between 1 to 6 months, meaning that the virus has been active from 1 to 6 months ago. If your brother has children, it is best to avoid any contact with children because children is prone to infection than adult.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) also can sometimes go into "hiding" in the liver and other cells. The HbeAg does not necessary indicate the ability of the body to produce e-antigen because some types of HBV do not make e-antigen.

From the liver test, the elevated AST and GGT indicated that the liver has suffered some level of damage. It is still possible to recover with the treatment that we recommended. To ensure proper treatment, please follow the usage schedule that we recommended from the earlier post.
