Hi Peter,

We apologize for the delay and have processed your inquiry.

In regards to your question, the i series patches contain more ingredients and have been found very effective in absorbing excess uric acid than other patches.

Most of the uric acid is filtered out by our kidneys and passes out of the body in urine. A small amount passes out of the body in stool. But if too much uric acid is being produced or if the kidneys are not able to remove it from the blood normally, the level of uric acid in the blood increases.

High levels of uric acid in the blood can cause solid crystals to form within joints. High uric acid levels are also associated with an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome.

Excess uric acids absorbed by the patches are indicated by the white crystalized clumps, which is the uric acid crystals.

Researchers at the Johns Hopkins and Yale university medical schools have found that a simple blood test to measure uric acid, a measure of kidney function, might reveal a risk factor for cognitive problems in old age. Of 96 adults aged 60 to 92 years, those with uric acid levels at the high end of the normal range had the lowest scores on tests of mental processing speed, verbal memory and working memory. The findings appear in the January issue of Neuropsychology, which is published by the American Psychological Association (APA).

All the best,
Kenrico Support
