Grapefruit Foot Pads

I read that your Grapefruit Patches which contain a lot of pectin are processed by your intestines. If you are having Digestive problems and you have worn the Grapefruit pads on your feet on the area where your stomach and intestinal tract are would that cause stomach swelling and discomfort and which foot pad would be the best to relieve this?
