Hi Dan,
Regarding application area, please refer to the reflexology map on our website (https://www.kenrico.com). The reflexology map can be found by following the link from the top page.
For beginner user, we recommend placing the pads at the center area of the foot sole. The center area of the foot sole is the most common area for application due to the presence of the nerve endings from our internal organs that are prone to toxins such as kidney, liver, intestines, colon, etc.
