Pinworms are highly contagious and reinfection can easily occur. The oral medication that your doctor gave you is a temporary solution if the source of the infection is not removed thoroughly. We recommend that you thoroughly clean and disinfect any objects in contact such as clothing using soaps, hot water, and dryer. Also, showering more often and avoiding taking baths can also help to reduce the infection.
