Re(1): Thermoplastics in alkaline stick

Hi Monica,
The Forever Alkaline Water Stick Purifier is made to work with tap water as well.
The water quality in your area is regulated by EPA. Within the normal amount of perchlorate in your tap water, it is impossible under chemistry and physics to break down thermoplastics. You will need a lot of oxidizers, about trillions of times the current amount of perchlorate in your tap water to oxidize. A large amount of oxidizers is only available in a controlled environment such as a laboratory or manufacturing plants.
A high quality thermoplastics is very tough and durable, which is why it is made and recommended over metals or any other inorganic materials by health agencies for safety reason.
You can also obtain the current report of your water system by calling your water company or EPA. After analyzing the water report (dated year 2010) from both the EPA and from the water company near your area, there is no need for any concern in regards to oxidation. To remove the contaminants, we recommend using a very good water filtration system that can filter all 50 dangerous chemicals (such as Ion Water Purifier)
All the best,
KenricoCare
