Re(3): peripheral neuropathy

Hi Talya,

There is no substitute to the Red Edition (EXA-2i). We highly recommend that you asked your supplier to provide you the EXA-2i so your father can recover from the illness.

It is absolutely possible for patients with severe cases of peripheral neuropathy to recover by following the prescribed schedule. Because the condition is more severe than you originally described, we highly recommend increasing the daily dosage of the treatment to four (4) pads per day everyday from the original 2-4 pads / day.

Daily dosage means the number of pads that must be administered in one day or in 24 hours of time. The number of pads can be applied all in one treatment or separated into several treatments in a day. In your recommended daily dosage of four (4) pads per day every day, you can administer two (2) pads on each foot per treatment (hence the total of daily dosage of 4 pads is met) OR administer one (1) pad on each foot per treatment in 2 separate treatments in one day. Each application or each treatment should last between 4 to 12 hours.

If your father works in the morning, administering two (2) pads on each foot at night (hence the total of daily dosage of 4 pads is met) should work best.

Because of the severity of the condition, we recommend continuing the treatment proactively even after the recovery. It allows the pads to repair the nerves gradually and removes toxins that are responsible for the nerve damage. For standard treatment, the recommended 12 to 16 weeks of treatment is recommended according to the prescribing information.

All the best,
KenricoCare
