Hi Sunn33,
The back of neck has the same muscle group as the front of the neck. Also, the back of the neck has access to spine and more nerve endings.
The front of the neck or throat area is a sensitive area because it is the passage of the respiratory system. Placement on this area is allowed only with medical supervision.
